Behind the scenes of our latest shoot

We always invest a lot of time behind the scenes ensuring our brand imagery suitably represents the style and attitude of our furniture – and it was no different with a recent shoot for two of our feature pieces.

An attentive creative process delivered a strong conceptual look and feel, with a sophisticated timber and leather look for the Ranfurly and the stripped-back focus on the plush comfort and colour of the Maverick.

The next step was with sourcing a suitable location. We always look to support other local businesses and what better place to start than on our own doorstep?

In post-quake Christchurch The Tannery has become a flagship destination, and its burgeoning popularity is well deserved. It’s here that we first thought of popular restaurant Gustav’s as a possible location for the Ranfurly shot. Then, with the supply of the Maverick to Beauty at the Tannery a chance to shoot two images in one day presented itself.

Tannery businesses also supplied clothes for the models, Encompass dressing Josh and Redhouse dressing Kimberley. Other prominent businesses, Lightworkx photography and the Kristen Stewart School of Make-up, helped set the scene and capture the moment.

Such a gathering of local talent helped ensure the potentially complicated shoot went off without a hitch in two locations over the course of the day. And the results speak for themselves – we couldn’t be happier.
