Meet the team: Samantha Hurd

We’re very happy to welcome Samantha on board as our new Northern Region Sales Manager. Already hard at work spreading the love for Kovacs in the Auckland market, Samantha’s expertise and obvious passion for the work is a huge asset for her clients.

With extensive experience in corporate interior design throughout Auckland Samantha’s expertise in commercial fit-outs is bolstered with keen interest and application in the domestic furniture design sphere.

Her success in the past has come from carefully listening to customers so as “to bring something new to the table”. Here, the approach is one of looking past the everyday, recommending design solutions that are both practical and avant-garde (and yes, with the right expertise, there’s a way to accomplish both). Finding creative ways of innovating space is a key focus, as is an appreciation for superior craftsmanship.

When asked what attracted her to this new role she’s emphatic with her response. Passionate about quality New Zealand made product, Samantha is eloquent in her belief that how consumers purchase directly affects the communities around them.

When not looking to inspire and be inspired in her work Samantha has comparable enthusiasm for other endeavours. Be it with abstract painting or ballet and contemporary dance she embraces her art wholeheartedly. Last, but certainly not least, spending time with son Newton and architect partner Graeme is also cherished.

We’re excited about the strengths Samantha brings to our team, are looking forward to a fresh new outlook and think you’ll see exactly what we’re talking about when you meet her in person. So if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch with her.
