The popular hotel makes a bold new entrance
Specifying designer furniture for hotels can be a tricky proposition, with space requirements, durable construction, generous comfort and overall design sophistication all key factors in the final decision.
With this in place the final result comes down to the designer’s ability to carefully coordinate a series of pieces to make an overall visual statement – one that is unique, appropriate and enduring.
When the Holiday Inn in Rotorua wanted to evolve their style Jane Low Interior Design provided the expert vision for the project. In her initial brief Jane said she was “looking for style, comfort and a well-priced New Zealand product”. The answer was found with a careful combination of Kovacs products, including Leon and Zoe chairs, round ‘puff’ ottomans and specially-designed three seater Leon settees.
Having used Kovacs before on other projects Jane knew the inherent quality of the furniture, and the final result for the Holiday Inn is impressive. Now, after a hard day exploring the lakes and geothermal wonders of the region, visitors can rest back in the very best of luxurious comfort.
