We’re delighted to introduce our new Southern Region Sales Manager, Mark Mortimore.
Mark brings with him a robust background in the furniture industry and a keen focus on top-notch service.
Prior to joining us Mark was a South Island account manager for The Comfort Group, Dunlop Foams. This role had him dealing with furniture manufacturers, upholsterers, auto and marine trimmers and retail branches. Before this he had gained experience in the commercial furniture sector also. So Mark has effectively been around furniture and the manufacturing of it for the past sixteen years.
This wealth of experience has enhanced Mark’s skill and passion in customer service and he’s now eagerly anticipating working with our existing customer base, and introducing new customers.
This work is all about “empowering them (the customer) with options best suited to satisfy their needs and requirements,” he explains.
Settling into the new job, Mark notes that being surrounded by a dedicated, passionate team is infectious.
“Everyone’s enthusiastic about the Kovacs brand,” he says. “Such commitment is the base upon which the company has built such longevity in the marketplace.”
Now Mark is looking forward to becoming an integral part of the team and in representing such a treasured brand.
To do so he’s already been hard at work researching the range. Asked which is his favourite piece of furniture and he has to whittle the list down to the Louis chair and the Bronte modular pieces with their matching tables.
Furniture may be the focus at work but in his downtime Mark is outside keeping active. Be it gardening, walking the dogs, cycling or running, “if it’s outdoors in the fresh air it’s a great place to be”.
