Beauty At The Tannery
As you’ll see from the photos to our earthquake story our beautiful part of Christchurch took a hammering. But now, three years on, revitalisation is here. And it’s in no small part due to the efforts of the Cassels family and their passion for The Tannery development.
A stone’s throw (or three) from our factory, the shopping emporium is a vital response, and the tenants of the shopping emporium share the vision of the Cassels. One such tenant is Beauty At The Tannery.
Owner Tara Harris had a clear vision for how her day spa would captivate visitors. With a contemporary French feel and a luxurious level of sumptuousness she required both high quality and attention to detail in her furniture.
Working alongside Lonsdale Architects and Hildy Kovacs, Tara highlighted her general needs and, in her words, “Kovacs translated my exact vision and ideas into a reality – making every process incredibly easy.”
A large range of furniture was required to service a variety of customer needs throughout the day spa. Amalfi, Malta and Tango chairs were used in specific locations, along with round ottomans and an Austin settee. A specifically designed Lincoln settee provides an eye-catching focal point for the client waiting room – the unique buttons and plush fabric use delivering a truly memorable style.
The project was under tight time constraints also, with the day spa opening during the Christmas period of 2013. With the massive range of work undertaken Tara appreciated the “ongoing commitment” and “huge support”, stating that, “service at such a high standard is hard to find these days.”
The final result “completely exceeded all my expectations” said Tara. Now, with a world-class day spa on our doorstep, Kovacs staff will surely be stopping by to try out some pampered luxury too…]
